Leaving Key West

Honestly, we have been back home since Saturday. But I’ve been putting off writing this entry because, well it makes me a little sad. It was so blissful and peaceful while we were there. Not a care. No stress. No work. Just me and my husband. It’s still me and my husband but we are back at work. Back to reality. But like many things, there is a silver lining to being back. A sort of ‘look at the bright side’ moment. Now that we are married and together. It seems as if the day-to-day stress we used to have isn’t so bad. Because now we go home to each other. We also get more sleep since we go to sleep together/earlier because we aren’t talking to each other on the phone into the wee hours of the night, ha ha.

But there are other benefits to us finally being home and together. Now we get to plan future adventures together. It’s quite exciting.

So in a last adieu to Key West(one day we might go back) here are a few pictures we snapped on the road home. We stopped by a couple of parks on the way home and sometimes just pulled over.

Married

I’m married. MARRIED!?

24 years I’ve waited to meet the man of my dreams. I didn’t realize he was next to me the entire time. But he did. For 3 years he waited for me to look at him (I mean really look at him, as a woman looks at a man). He waited, for 3 years. He talked to me, allowed me to open up to him, express my fears, my dreams, my desires, and he never said a word. I guess it was only natural of me to fall for him. To fall so deeply in love with him.

He stole my heart.

So I stole his name.

*** Photographs were taken by  my nephew with JMS Photography  they’re just a few of the 3,000 photos taken***

Stay tuned…. Because after the wedding comes the honeymoon. And I will try to post a day-to-day photograph update of our adventures in Key West.

Macro Jewels

Hello My Hopefully Happy Followers.

Are you really out there? I never hear from you. So. Happy Chinese New Year, Happy Presidents Day, Happy Valentines day. And any other holidays in between.

Life’s been a blur of training and wedding planning. It has definitely been a stressful time but all is starting to look brighter.

Not a big post today, I haven’t really traveled or explored small towns nearby. Other than the crazy life the weather in NC has been seriously all out of whack.

Monday we had freezing rain cover the highways into a sheet of solid ice, sending cars and people into ditches and walls.

Tuesday and it was 51 degrees when I woke up at 6AM. Someone please explain this weather to me. (And don’t say global warming)

Totally random day today. But here’s some macro shots of a real jewel (diamond ring) and a fake red gem in a hair clip.
